| Tucked away on a wooded block with bushland and ancient pines, just round the corner from the main street of the village of Bundanoon, is The Artist's House. Handcrafted over many years by a well known local artist, The Artist's House today offers you a very special and unique getaway in this picturesque corner of the Southern Highlands for one or two couples. The rustic nature of this property with its pointed ceilings, cedar timbers, natural stonework, and artistic features hinting at traditional and eastern influences, is combined with a whimsical touch which will both delight and enchant you. Modern conveniences are discreetly incorporated. Follow the raised timber walkway to two pavilions - one housing the main residence, and the other a separate sleeping area.
Enter through an inviting doorway and up the stairs to the main living area. Here the tall pointed ceiling with its skylights, the textured walls, timber floors, comfortable lounges and slow combustion fire (wood supplied), glimpses out onto the gardens. Romantic evening lighting will embrace and comfort you with its warmth. Leading off the living area is a cosy bedroom with queen bed. A small kitchen has a microwave, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and utensils for four. (Bring your own breakfast provisions, or visit one of the many cafes in the village.) There is also a tiny loft to hide away in, a little reading nook offering peaceful sanctuary and small verandah overlooking the garden.
The bathroom is a delight - large shower (with tiled bath) and WC in a magical little grotto which will fascinate you. For extra guests, a separate pavilion has a queen bed and french doors opening onto the garden. This bedroom shares the main bathroom. The garden around the house is frequently visited by beautiful native birdlife and invites you to discover little pathways and unexpected features. By staying at The Artist's House you will feel miles away from care, yet close to all the attractions of the Bundanoon and the Highlands. (We are just across the road from Solar Springs.) Tariff.
