18 - 28 SEP: BERKELOUW SELF-PORTRAIT PRIZE

Bowral & District Art Society Inc. is proud to invite entries into the 2008 'Berkelouw SelF Portrait Prize' with prize money of $10,000 being awarded to the best judged entry painted from life.

All mediums except photography are accepted. Judge will Jeanette Korduba ARAS for this year.

Southern Highlands WritersSOUTHERN HIGHLANDS WRITERS' GROUP

The writers' group meets in Bowral on the second Tuesday of each month, from 6pm until about 7.30, in the upstairs bar at The Grand Hotel corner of Bong Bong St & Wingecarribee St Bowral.

S.H. Concert BandTHE SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS CONCERT BAND
(proudly supported by the Wingecarribee Shire Council)

The Southern Highlands Concert Band began as the Wingecarribee Community Band in 1985 and was established by a number of local musicians to foster musical talent for all ages and skill levels. The tradition has continued and now the Band performs regularly around the local area.

If you are an enthusiastic wind, brass or percussion instrumentalist and are interested in enjoying a supportive and social atmosphere whilst performing superb music, feel free to contact the Bandmaster. Alternatively come along to the Wednesday night rehearsals to see and hear the Band for yourself.
