Country Cottage B&B Located on the boundary of Kangaloon past the Robertson Showground of Babe fame, Callander House is now available for Weekly and Weekend stays as a Bed and Breakfast retreat. The home is located on a one acre garden block backed by panoramic views across to Kangaloon. Parking is available on site. A Queen bedroom suite is available with private bathroom and spa bath, lounge area, fridge, tea & coffee making facilities, television, electric blankets and heating. The suite has a separate entrance from main house. There is also use of an adjoining sunroom overlooking the rear garden. Consider bringing warm clothing as we are located at 700m and glorious sunny days can turn to very cool in the evenings, plus some slippers for the house as we request that all outdoor shoes are left at the entrance lobby area and not brought inside as Robertson earth is very aggressive! The home is designed as an adults only retreat. The house is a smoke free zone. Small house trained dogs will be considered at a nominal charge by prior arrangement. Please bring your own pet bed. Tariff: $375.00 per two night weekend either Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday. Additional nights or weekday rates $150.00 per night. Rates include a generous Continental Breakfast. Note: A surcharge of 10% applies on Public Holidays and special events. Robertson - Green Heart of the Highlands. Robertson is a special country village with outstanding scenery. The village is very well serviced and our Supermarket in town is open 7 days a week from 8am-7pm and includes alcohol supplies. The Cheese Factory, open 7 days, has a wonderful selection of cheeses and deli items and a coffee shop. The Robertson Bakery is open Monday through Saturday and has excellent pies. We also have a great butcher. The local Post Office and Chemist are open 6 days a week. Our local pub, The Robertson Inn, is delightful and has a restaurant - we suggest booking (Phone 4885 1202) on a Friday or Saturday night or Sunday lunch. Pizzas in the Mist Restaurant is open for take-away Tuesday through Saturday - the pizzas are excellent and to be recommended and the adjoining restaurant on a par with the best in Sydney. Three Creeks Café open Friday to Sunday, offers probably the best coffee and cakes in the Highlands. The Robertson Bowling Club welcomes out of town visitors and has a Chinese Restaurant for lunch and dinner. Inside Story Realty Café is open daily for coffee and light meals along with Chats Café at the Robertson Motel. Pirouette Café is open Friday through Sunday. There are wonderful speciality and antique shops for browsing, a garden nursery, the Old Cheese Factory, and our now famous locally made specialist soap and body cream shop adjacent to the General Store. Market Day is on the second Sunday of every month. Local Attractions. The charming nearby village of Burrawang with it delighful pub and three great Waterfalls that plunge from sheer sandstone cliffs into deep rainforest gorges are all within a 15 minute drive - Fitzroy Falls, Belmore Falls and Carrington Falls. A picturesque 20-25 minute drive down into the valley down Jamberoo Road brings you to the charming village of Jamberoo and another well run pub. Jamberoo Road also leads you to the new Illawarra Fly panoramic vista walk. You can continue to Kiama and the coast in another 15 minutes. Take the Mittagong exit through Bowral - follow the signs to Robertson. At Robertson turn left into Caalong Street at Pizzas in the Mist, turn right into High Street at the Showground, then left into Hindmarsh Lane to Lemmons Road round a "dog leg" to the right; Callander House is the second house on the left behind a high hedge. From Canberra: 1.5 hours on the Hume Highway. Take the Illawarra Highway exit through Moss Vale, following the signs to Robertson. From Wollongong: Head south and take the Illawarra Highway exit at Albion Park to Robertson. At Robertson continue past the Robertson Inn, then turn right into Caalong Street at the corner at Pizzas in the Mist.
