Nicholas was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1956 and emigrated to Tasmania with his family in 1967.
His initial training was in 1975 with an old and well-known firm called Sargison's Silversmith in Hobart where he produced Stirling Silver cutlery.
From there he applied to work at Sturt Workshops in Mittagong, NSW as a trainee from 1976-77 where he expanded his silver smithing skills.
In 1981 Nicholas received a Degree majoring in Silver Smithing and Jewellery Design at Sydney College of the Arts.
In early 1980 he established his own Studio Business. He has had many successful
Exhibitions and his work has been widely collected by Private and Institutional collections, including The National Gallery of Australia.
In 2008 he opened Nicholas Deeprose Jewellery. The Workshop and Showroom is located in the beautiful township of Bowral in the Southern Highlands of N.S.W.
On display is a comprehensive display of Gold and Silver pieces set with both Precious and Semi Precious stones.
All work is made on the premises, so you can have a piece made to suit your needs or alter an existing object.
