Kings Park Thoroughbreds

Kings Park is conveniently located approximately one hour from Sydney and only 10 minutes from the town of Mittagong.

Kings Park is an attractive parcel of land located at the end of a private road which is fully surrounded by crown land and provides peace and tranquility.

It is a fully owned and operated property with 30 years experience in the equine industry, ensuring knowledge and understanding.

The property features 25 acres of first class facilities and operates as a private thoroughbred racehorse spelling and pre-training complex.

Kings Park has been pasture improved with both summer and winter pastures to ensure all year round grass. An irrigation system has also been installed to ensure each yard is maintained.

There are a total of 33 post and rail yards with fully electrified stand-offs to ensure total safety for each horse. All yards are provided with a shelter with self-waters installed in each.

Other features of Kings Park include a 800 metre training track, a 70 x 40 metre sand exercise arena and large size round yard. These are all centrally located to the 16 box (3.7 x 3.7) stable complex which includes a hot water wash bay, feed room, tack room and office.

Our yearling preparation program will be conducted from this part of the property.

Kings Park is currently taking bookings for:

  • Thoroughbred agistment (includes individual post and rail electric yard per horse, one hard feed with hay morning and evening; yard cleaned out daily; rugging if necessary).

  • Pre-training (includes individual post and rail electric yard per horse, two hard feeds per day plus hay; yard cleaned out daily; worked and trained daily to obtain ideal fitness; rugged).

  • Yearling preparation (includes 3.7 x 3.7 metre stable, full rugging, 2 feds per day plus hay; lunging daily).
