Rose Ella B&B is situated in a delightful Cape Cod home in a secluded, quiet and peaceful lane at Mount Murray, high on the escarpment overlooking Kiama, Shellharbour and out to the ocean.

At the top of Macquarie Pass, it is close to Roberstson and just 30 minutes to Wollongong and south coast beaches, and 20 minutes to Bowral and the attractions of the Southern Highlands.

On 5 acres of farmland and bushland, Rose Ella is adjacent to the famous Macquarie National Park, with its walking trails and spectacular rainforest.

On beautiful Mount Murray

Rose Ella offers bed and breakfast accommodation in two private guest suites for up to 2 couples.

Aimee's Suite has a comfortable queen sized bed with electric blanket and doona. With windows overlooking the gardens and the escarpment, it also has lounge chairs and TV and its own ensuite bathroom with shower and toilet.

The suite is electrically heated for cooler nights and includes amenities such as an iron and ironing board for guest's use.

private sitting room too Emilie's Suite, with views over the surrounding farmland, has a luxurious queen sized bed with canopy (electric blanket and doona) and ensuite bathroom with bath, shower and separate toilet.

This suite also, also heated, has its own private sitting room with comfy lounge chairs and TV.

On this floor there is also a private room where you can get refreshments at any time. Tea and coffee making supplies are provided, with home made biscuits and complimentary port.

A feature of this room is also the large collection of dolls and collectables - all made by Helen, for which it is a favourite hobby - although sometime she may be persuaded to part with them if they take your fancy.

cosy open fireplace Downstairs you are free to relax in the lounge with its open fireplace, or to enjoy the view over a drink in the solarium.

Breakfast at Rose Ella can be taken in the formal dining room, although most prefer thhe solarium or verandah or terrace where you may sit in the morning sunshine.

The clear bracing air (here you are 763 metres above sea level) is a wonderful stimulant for a hearty breakfast. Which is just as well, as the selection is wide and portions generous (host Ron is a butcher by trade!).

Choose from fruit juices, fresh fruit salad, yoghurts, cereals, toast with a selection of jams, or danish pastries.

Then try eggs (any style) with bacon, tomato and sausages, or Breakfast Steaks, or lambs fry or pancakes and maple syrup.

There is plenty to see and do within a short drive from Rose Ella, or you can just relax away the day wandering around the garden with its rose bushes, fuchsias, hydrangeas and the colours of spring and summer.

Tour the farm where you can occasionally see wallabies and kangaroos, and hosts of colourful native birds - indeed rosellas feed right outside the window of the solarium!
