HISTORIC COTTAGE
Summerfield Cottage is located in a leafy country lane in the tranquil and very English village of Exeter in the Southern Highlands.
Built in 1896 for descendants of the Badgery family, pioneers of the area, it has been lovingly restored by its current owner and offers a cosy and charming bed and breakfast experience for its guests.

Set in over an acre of beautiful lawns and gardens, and surrounded by the traditional hedges which are a feature of the village, Summerfield Cottage invites you to enjoy relaxation at tables and chairs on the verandahs, in leafy garden bowers, admire the rose walk, or perhaps play a game of tennis on the private court.
You will not be able to resist the temptation of a stroll through the tree-lined country lanes which are a renowned feature of this Highlands village, and visit the quaint church, historic residences, antiques shops and bookstore.
Here times seems to stand still and you will feel transported back to a more genteel age.

Summerfield Cottage offers B&B accommodation for up to 6 guests in 3 beautifully appointed bedrooms.
The queen bed room, with its canopy and Victorian Lace, mahogany Queen Anne dressing table, and ensuite bathroom, overlooks the charming garden.
There is also another queen bed room with stylish Sheridan linen, and a twin room with crisp white broderie anglaise. Both have private bathrooms.
Fluffy bathrobes and towels and fresh flowers in the rooms are part of the thoughful touches provided for your comfort.
Electric blankets and space heaters ensure winter warmth.

The 14' ceilings, antique furnishings, polished timber floors, french doors leading on to the verandah, and delightful living area with its open fire place, large refectory table, dressers with silver and glassware, give a wonderfully peaceful and elegant feel to country living.
Curl up in front of the fire with a book or a magazine, watch TV or listen to music, or enjoy the view over the gardens from the verandah.

HEARTY COUNTRY BREAKFASTS
Start your day with breakfast served in the traditional manner from the side table.
Select from home-made muesli or other cereals, freshly stewed fruits from the garden, and a hot country breakfast of eggs of your choice, bacon, mushrooms, and tomato.
Finish off with fresh tea or coffee and toast with home-made marmalades and jams.
In the evenings meals can be arranged at any of a number of excellent restaurants nearby.
